What is Hyaluronic Acid and Why Should I Care?

Hyaluronic Acid is a miraculous ingredient. It is often found in skin care products and what it does is hold a thousand times its weight in moisture on your skin.

Benefits of Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid provides a significant benefit for skin that is dehydrated, meaning lacking water. Most skin is dehydrated. Many people don’t drink enough water and this causes a variety of problems. Dry skin for one, but also dry joints, dry eyes, dry nasal passages, constipation.

There are supplements one can take, but I am not always a big proponent of a supplement when simply drinking more water can often be the first line of defense.

Topically, hyaluronic acid really helps keep your skin in check so that your oil glands don’t start over producing oil to compensate for the dehydration (lack of water). Dehydrated skin doesn’t need more oil, it needs more water and if you aren’t planning on drinking more, then products with this magic ingredient can really help.

Products with Hyaluronic Acid

There are many products containing hyaluronic acid, since it is an amazing supplement.

Gloskinbeauty makes a few products with this ingredient. Their two sunscreens have it, which is great news for both oily and sensitive skin clients as the sun is a super dehydrator. Giving your skin some extra moisture built into your sunscreen is easy.

OIL FREE 40

Oil Free 40 is a chemical sunscreen. This means that it soaks in and doesn’t show as white on your face, but also should be applied thirty minutes before sun exposure. It is one of the best daily moisturizers and contains an SPF40 sunscreen. It is oil-free, easy and lightweight, making this one of our most highly recommended 2 in 1 products.

SOLAR SHADE 50

Solar Shade 50 is a mineral based sunscreen, which is the best protection. It goes on white and needs some time to settle before not showing as white, but doesn’t need time prior to sun exposure, beach, boating, skiing etc.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that GloSkinBeauty's two oil-free moisturizers also have hyaluronic acid because oily skin doesn’t need more oil, it needs more moisture to keep those easily over stimulated oil glands in check.

OIL CONTROL EMULSION

Oil Control Emulsion is ultra-lightweight. It is great for skin that breaks out easily or has a lot of shine that you don’t like.

OIL FREE MOISTURIZER

Our best-selling oil-free moisturizer, this light weight amazing and versatile moisturizer really controls oil but also gives your skin a supple vibe.

Toners are also a nice easy way to get your dose of hyaluronic acid.

BALANCING MIST

Balancing Mist is a versatile toner great for all combination skins. This one is a spray and you use it after cleansing and before your serum and moisturizer.

And if you want the biggest Hyaluronic Acid boost, there is no other than HA Revive Hyaluronic Drops for a great addition to any skin care routine. Use morning, evening or both or to make it even easier add a few drops to your moisturizer. Some oily skin clients use this as their moisturizer. Gloskinbeauty has recently reformulated this product and it is purely vegan now as an added benefit for all involved.
